Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of the Paddington Home website and the purchase of any products from us. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by the terms set out below.

1. Company Information

Paddington Home is a UAE-based furniture and homeware brand. All products are designed and crafted locally in the United Arab Emirates.

All website content, product names, descriptions, photography, designs, logos, and branding elements are the intellectual property of Paddington Home and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written consent.

2. Orders & Payment

2.1 Placing Orders

All orders must be placed through our website. Prices are listed in AED and include VAT where applicable.

Full payment is required at checkout to confirm your order. No order shall be deemed accepted until payment has been successfully processed.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, suspected fraud, or stock discrepancies.

2.2 Order Amendments

Orders may be amended within 24 hours of placement only. After this period, production may have commenced and changes cannot be guaranteed.

2.3 Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase. After this time, cancellation requests may be declined.

Custom, bespoke, or made-to-order pieces cannot be cancelled once production has commenced.

3. Delivery

3.1 Shipping Area

We currently offer delivery within the United Arab Emirates only.

3.2 Delivery Timeframes

Our estimated delivery window is 14–21 days from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Paddington Home shall not be liable for delays caused by manufacturing schedules, supplier delays, third-party logistics providers, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

3.3 Assembly

Assembly for larger furniture items is included within the delivery service. Smaller items are delivered to the doorstep only.

Customers must ensure safe and reasonable access to the delivery location. Additional charges may apply if access restrictions require special handling.

Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon successful delivery.

4. Returns & Store Credit

4.1 Change of Mind Returns

Eligible items may be returned within 14 days of delivery for store credit equal to the product value only.

Delivery fees are strictly non-refundable.

To qualify:

Items must be unused
Items must be in original condition
Items must be returned in original packaging
Items must be suitable for resale

Returns that do not meet these conditions may be rejected.

4.2 Exclusions

The following are non-returnable:

Custom or bespoke pieces
Made-to-order items
Clearance or final sale products

5. Manufacturing Faults & Damages

All products are quality-checked prior to dispatch.

If an item arrives with a manufacturing fault, the customer must notify us within 72 hours of delivery and provide:

Order number
Clear photographs of the issue

Upon verification, Paddington Home will, at its discretion:

Repair the item, or
Replace the item

We do not offer refunds for manufacturing faults unless repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.

Claims made outside the 72-hour notification period may not be accepted.

This policy does not cover:

General wear and tear
Improper assembly not performed by our team
Misuse or negligence
Accidental damage
Environmental damage (humidity, sunlight, moisture exposure)

6. Product Representation, Imagery & Natural Variation

We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions, dimensions, finishes, and imagery are accurate.

However:

Colours may vary depending on lighting conditions, photography, and individual screen settings.
Natural materials such as timber, stone, fabric, and metal inherently vary in grain, tone, veining, and texture.
Styling imagery may include decorative objects not included with the product unless explicitly stated.

Due to the handcrafted and natural nature of our products, minor variations between the delivered item and website imagery shall not constitute a defect.

Dimensions provided are approximate and may vary slightly due to manufacturing tolerances.

7. Product Care & Material Behaviour

Proper care is essential to maintain the condition and longevity of your furniture.

We recommend:

Do not place hot items directly on surfaces. Use coasters or protective pads.
Blot spills immediately using a clean white cloth. Do not rub.
Clean gently using a soft, dry cloth.
Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scouring materials.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, or extreme temperature changes.

Natural materials may respond to environmental conditions over time. The following are considered normal material characteristics and not defects:

Natural ageing or patina development
Variations in colour and texture
Minor spotting or tonal shifts
Hairline fractures or surface movement due to climate fluctuation
Organic markings or intentional imperfections

These features are inherent to artisan-crafted furniture and contribute to the uniqueness of each piece.

8. Custom & Bespoke Orders

Custom sizing, finishes, or modifications are available on select pieces.

All custom orders are final sale and non-refundable unless deemed faulty under Section 5.

Customers are responsible for verifying measurements and specifications prior to confirmation.

9. Trade & Professional Accounts

Trade pricing may be available to approved interior designers and industry professionals. Paddington Home reserves the right to approve or decline trade access at its discretion.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law:

Paddington Home shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or products.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful.

11. Force Majeure

Paddington Home shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, supplier failure, governmental restrictions, or transportation disruption.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of UAE courts.

13. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be published on this page. Continued use of our website constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
